Freesbe

A business phone that doesn't need a Workspace seat.

Google Voice is an add-on to Google Workspace: $10 per user a month for up to 10 users, $20 for auto attendants and ring groups. Freesbe's phone system is an add-on to its own plans, with menus, ring groups, queues, voicemail you can read, recordings with notes, E911 and click-to-call from your CRM, inside the chat your team already uses.

  • Get menus, ring groups and call flows with the add-on, whatever the team's size.
  • Keep Google sign-in and Google Calendar; skip the Workspace seat the phone would need.
  • Read voicemail and call notes in the channel, and hand a call to a colleague with a click.
  • Put the number in the customer inbox and answer texts as threads.

For Small businesses on Gmail who want a real phone system without paying for Workspace and Voice on top of chat.

The call lands where the team already is

Each person gets a number and a dialpad in the app they chat in. A call rings the computer and the phone, can be transferred to a colleague, an extension or a queue, merged into a three-way call, and recorded. Voicemail is written out in the app, and the call's transcript and notes are a click away.

Menus, queues, hours and ring groups, set up by an admin

In the Admin Center an admin buys numbers, records a phone menu, draws a call flow, sets business hours and holidays, picks the hold music, and decides who a number rings: one person, a ring group of up to 20, or a call queue with a live board for the supervisor. Callers who hide their number can be turned away.

Texts, voicemail and faxes, in the app

Texts to a Freesbe number land in the customer inbox as threads in a channel, where the team answers them. Voicemail is written out so you can read it before you call back. A number can receive faxes as PDFs by email.

Where Google Voice is the better fit

If everyone already has a Workspace seat and the phone just needs to ring in Gmail and the Google Voice app, Voice is the simplest add-on, with unlimited domestic calls and texts and the Google admin console. Freesbe is for a team that wants the phone, the chat and the meetings in one app.
