Google Chat comes with Google Workspace, so it suits teams already paying for Gmail and Drive. Freesbe is team chat with huddles, meetings guests open in a browser, booking pages, workflows and a phone system, free for up to 10 people, with Google sign-in and Google Calendar connected. Teams that want chat without a Workspace plan pick Freesbe.
For Small businesses on Gmail who want a proper team chat without buying Workspace seats for everyone.
Channels for teams, topics and clients, threads that keep them readable, a canvas beside every channel for notes and playbooks, custom emoji, pins, saved for later and scheduled messages. Search finds any part of a word. Guests from other companies see only their channel.
A huddle starts in any channel or DM with up to 20 people and a shared screen. A scheduled meeting has a short link, your logo and a lobby, and guests join from a browser with no account. Record it or just transcribe it, and AI notes with the decisions and action items are posted afterwards.
Start free with up to 10 people and try it today, or book a 20-minute demo with the people who make Freesbe.
Everyone can continue with Google on every plan. Connect Google Calendar to see free and busy times while scheduling and to show In a meeting automatically, and make Freesbe the meeting on your Google Calendar events. Booking pages only offer times that are free in the calendar.
A team that pays for Workspace already has Google Chat, with Gmail, Drive, Docs and Meet around it and one admin console. Google Meet holds 100 people on Business Starter and more on bigger plans, where a Freesbe meeting holds 20. If every person already has a Workspace seat and the Google apps are the center of the work, Google Chat costs nothing more.
